Description
Get to know BPM Core, the world’s first blood pressure monitor that monitors blood pressure and heart rate plus records an ECG and heart sounds which may help lead to the detection of two major under-diagnosed heart diseases, atrial fibrillation and the most prevalent forms of valvular heart disease. See your results directly on the device with immediate colour-coded feedback. BPM Core synchronises seamlessly via Wi-Fi & Bluetooth to the free Health Mate app where you can read your complete data history and share it with your doctor.
BMP Core’s integrated electrocardiogram (ECG) helps detect and records atrial fibrillation (AFib), the most common form of arrhythmia, which can lead to heart failure, fatigue and shortness of breath and is a major risk for stroke.
The integrated digital stethoscope may detect abnormal heart sounds which may be a sign of valvular heart disease, a condition characterised by a defect of the heart valves that may require surgical intervention to avoid heart failure.
Better by design, BPM Core gives instant colour-coded feedback on the LED screen of the device right after the measurement: systolic and diastolic blood pressure, heart rate and atrial fibrillation. This compact device is rechargeable and lasts up to 6 months with one charge.
You will find your full data history in the free Health Mate app via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth synchronisation. With Wi-Fi synchronisation, no need to have your smartphone next to you during or after the measurement as data is automatically synchronised via your home Wi-Fi network.
Use BPM Core for prevention or to check the efficacy of your treatment and a few taps on your smartphone is all it takes to share measurements with your doctor, including your ECG records.

What is BPM Core?
BPM Core is the first blood pressure monitor to combine blood pressure measurement, ECG recording, and digital stethoscope into a single device. It helps detect atrial fibrillation (AFib) and valvular heart diseases in one simple measurement.
How does BPM Core work?
It takes your blood pressure, then performs ECG and heart sound analysis via a digital stethoscope. You place the cuff on your left upper arm and hold the metal electrode during the second part of the measurement.
Is BPM Core FDA/CE cleared?
It has CE medical clearance in Europe. FDA clearance is still in progress for the U.S.
How accurate is BPM Core?
Its performance has been validated through clinical trials. ECG readings compare well to cardiologist-interpreted 12-lead ECGs, and valvular heart disease detection is validated against echocardiography.
What is the difference between BPM and BPM Core?
BPM Core includes ECG, a digital stethoscope, Wi-Fi connection, and an LED matrix screen — all in addition to blood pressure measurement.
Who should use BPM Core?
Anyone wanting deeper insight into their heart health, especially those monitoring blood pressure, AFib, or heart valve health.
Do I need the Withings App to use BPM Core?
The app is required for initial setup, but measurements can be taken without it afterward. The app also allows easy data tracking and sharing with doctors.
Can I share my data with family or a doctor?
Yes, easily share ECG and BP readings via the Withings App. Sharing is especially important when AFib risk is detected.
Can I measure just blood pressure?
Yes. If you don’t place your hand on the electrode, BPM Core will skip the ECG and stethoscope recordings.
Can I use BPM Core if I have a pacemaker?
It is not recommended. As a connected device with electrical signals, BPM Core may interfere with pacemakers or defibrillators. Consult your doctor before use.
What does my blood pressure value mean?
Two numbers are measured: systolic (heart contraction) and diastolic (heart relaxation), in mmHg. Normal values depend on context — home vs clinic.
Why do blood pressure readings vary?
BP varies due to time of day, activity, and stress. Multiple readings over several days are needed for accuracy.
Why measure blood pressure at home?
Home readings are often more accurate and predictive of cardiovascular risk. They help identify hypertension earlier.
Why are my home and doctor readings different?
White coat effect (higher in clinic) or masked hypertension (higher at home) can cause discrepancies. Home readings reflect your real baseline better.
When is the best time to measure blood pressure?
In the morning before breakfast or in the evening before bed — and always before medication. Be still and relaxed for best results.
What is high blood pressure (hypertension)?
Home BP above 130/85 mmHg or clinic BP above 140/90 mmHg is considered high. Hypertension raises the risk of stroke, heart disease, kidney failure, and more.
How do I know if I have high blood pressure?
Hypertension is often symptomless. Regular measurement is the best way to detect it early.
What causes high blood pressure?
Most cases are essential (no known cause), but risk factors include age, weight, inactivity, and diet. In rare cases, secondary causes exist (kidney or hormonal disorders).
How can I lower my blood pressure?
Healthy habits like reducing salt, losing weight, quitting smoking, and regular activity can help. Medication may also be required.
What size arm does BPM Core fit?
It fits adult arms with a circumference between 22–42 cm (9–17 inches).
